Before your Lessons

Yes! Since Seattle Voice Lab began, we’ve helped over 200 people (and counting) find their voices.

We do this by taking the time to assess your individual needs, goals, and vocal health. From there, our experienced teachers build a personalized program for your unique vocal journey so you can align your voice with who you are.

Our prices are set but students often take advantage of our referral program. If you refer a friend who then signs up for lessons, you’ll score a free lesson or post-program check-in for yourself. Win-win!

Nope! We work with all voices, identities, and gender expressions.

We specialize in voice feminization, but our techniques are rooted in a deep understanding of speech therapy. We are able to improve, change, and strengthen everyone’s speaking and/or singing voice.

You sure can. Just know the waitlist may be shorter or longer depending on who you’d like to work with. If you don’t have a preference, you’ll be allocated the next available slot.

The Trans Voice program will give you the knowledge, the techniques and the exercises you need to confidently use your new voice in 4 – 6 weeks’ time.

If you‘re on a deadline, we also have the option for a fast-tracked program (details on the homepage).

We are open from 9am – 7pm PST, Monday – Friday.

We try to adhere to these hours, but if you’re unable to take your lessons within this timeframe, we’ll do our best to find a time that works for everyone.

Absolutely. We never share anything from our students without getting their explicit,
informed consent first. We take your privacy very seriously.

Not at this stage. We do, however, encourage you to contact your insurance provider to best understand all of your options.

During your Lessons

All lessons are conducted over video call, via Google Meet.

You’ll need to set up a Google account if you don’t have one already.

We recommend using a Chrome browser on desktop for the most stable connection and the best experience.

You can also use a phone or tablet if you’d prefer. Just download the Google Meet app and connect it to your Google account. .

We’ll walk you through the curriculum, talk about vocal health (super important), then conduct an assessment of where you’re at and where you want to go. From there, we’ll get you altering your pitch and then give you some exercise to practice, practice, practice until our next lesson.

The work you do from home is just as important as the work we do together. We’ll give you the techniques for both Active Practice (learning how your voice works), and Passive Practice (making your new voice habitual).

After you start, you’ll be granted access to a private Discord server, where you can connect and practice with other students.

We’re also constantly updating our Resources page. Head there to read up on the fundamentals.

And if you’re struggling with a particular aspect or have a question, you can reach out to us for a between-lesson check-in.

After your Lessons

You might find yourself making mistakes here and there, but we’ll leave you with strategies for Vocal Recovery so if your voice slips, you’ll have the tools to navigate back.

We’ll help you build vocal awareness and teach you how to apply what you’ve learned, so you can keep your voice controlled and consistent.

As time goes on, you won’t even have to think about your voice.
You’ll develop muscle memory, gain confidence in your voice, and just sound like you.

If you’re struggling with something or just want a vocal vibe check, we’re here to help with discounted Post-Program Check-Ins.
